The Sunday before my mom left we went to Ocean City Maryland. It was about 2 hours away and was a beautiful drive. We finally got to the beach and we walked up and down the boardwalk which was fun. Mike and I almost went on the ferris wheel but decided not to. My mom and I went and felt the ocean and it was cold. It was fun and I hope we can go visit again.
So Mikes office won a baseball game. It was so hot and humid, you could seriously see the humidity which is crazy but it was nice to just be with Mike. Mom babysat Ethan so that was really nice and we just got to be together. The Nationals played the Giants and got killed.
On Sunday with my mom we went to see the sites in Washington DC. It was the most perfect day to go, there was a breeze so we were never hot which this past couple weeks has been hard to accomplish. We rode the metro and got off by the Washington Monument and then we walked all the way to the Lincoln Memorial then the Vietnam Memorial, then the Korean Memorial, then the FDR Memorial, then the Jefferson Memorial and then back to the Washington Monument. Needless to say I thought I would never walk again. It was so fun and amazing to see all the sites. We also saw the WWII memorial. It is pretty new and amazing to realize all the people who died for our freedom. I'm so glad we got to all go together. Too bad Ethan isn't old enough to remember any of this but at least he can see he has been here.
