This last Saturday we had a wonderful ward Christmas party! We ate some really good food and had a nativity. Ethan got to be a sheep with a lot of the other little kids in the ward and then after the nativity we had a special visitor. Ethan wasn't sure about him but when he saw he had candy he sat on his lap so he could get some! We had a lot of fun and we are really going to miss this ward and all the wonderful people in it.
As most of you know Mike is graduating on the 18th and we have been searching high and low for a job. It has tested our faith and has been quite discouraging. This last week Mike was flown to Kansas for an interview. We were really hopeful that this would be the one since this is the first time he has been flown out to interview. I got a call shortly after his interview telling me that he got the job! We are so excited and extremely grateful that we were blessed with this opportunity. We will be moving to Tennessee! The job is in a small town called Rogersville which is in northeast Tennessee. We are thinking we will be moving to a town just 30 minutes north called Kingsport. It's quite a bit bigger then Rogersville and even has a hobby lobby! Mike is working at a company called Kiewit and it is a construction job so that means we will be moving around quite a bit from project to project at least for a little bit. We are so excited to move and start this next chapter. The next step is packing, not looking forward to that.
We decided after much debate to go to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving this year. I was a little nervous because I didn't want to drive 24 hours with two kids. But we sucked it up and went. We had a heck of a time getting there. As soon as we reached Island Park it started snowing and it was still snowing in Billings where we decided to stop for the night. I'm sure many of you are thinking Billings isn't that far from Rexburg, well it isn't we had driven 8 hours when it should have only take us 5 so needless to say I needed a break. The next day was better we drove about 15 hours so that we could reach my parents house in MN to get a break the only problem is as soon as we got about 15 minutes from my parents we ran into bad weather again. We must have just missed the ice storm but the storm left the roads slick. They were like an ice rink, I have lived in MN for 10 years and have never seen anything like it. so those 15 minutes turned into 2 hours. Luckily we made it to my parents in safety, we later found out that that night there were over 400 accidents and 12 snow plows crashed...I am so grateful we weren't one of them. The next day we had a leisurely 6 hour drive to my brothers house in WI. Once we were there we had so much fun. Ethan enjoyed playing with his cousins and we were excited to meet our newest cousin Charlotte who was only 3 weeks old. We played in the 5 on 5 in the Turkey Bowl and our team won the coveted trophies! We ate so much good food and played a ton of games. We were so glad we got to go to visit and we wished we lived closer. We are grateful for the Meier's hospitality to let us stay in there home! The drive home we took a different route in hopes that we could get better weather. We did get better weather and so we drove the 25 hours straight through. Grateful to be home and ready to start packing up our house for our next adventure!
Okay so maybe I am a dork for getting excited about this, but I am. Brooklyn rolled over from her back to front for the first time at church yesterday. I thought maybe it was a fluke but sure enough today she did it again and then she wouldn't stop!!! So I got a video. I hope you enjoy:)
Well since Halloween was on Sunday we celebrated Halloween on Saturday. We first had an awesome party to go to. It was so much fun! We decorated pumpkins and went on a treasure hunt and killed a spider (a pinata). Ethan had a lot of fun playing with his friends. I won the prize for grossest treat, I made forked eyeballs. Then after the party we went trunk or treating in our complex. It was a ton of fun. Ethan really got a hang of saying trick or treat and soon realized he got some good candy if he said it. There was a dessert bake off and so I made a pumpkin patch in hopes to win a prize. I unfortunately didn't win but I had fun trying. Enjoy the pictures!

Okay so on Saturday we went to a way fun Halloween party on Saturday and since I am not sure if we are going to dress up Brooke this Saturday since the weather is supposed to be cold I will post pictures of their costumes.

Ethan just loves his little sister and his little sister just loves her brother. When ever he talks to her she just listens so intently. He always tries to get her out of her bed when she cries and loves to help us rock her. I just love that he loves her so much and I know he is going to be a great protector of her in the years to come.

Brooklyn Olivia Burch was blessed on August 29th 2010 by her father Michael Burch. My dad my mom and my brother Jeff were able to attend and I am so grateful for that. My dad even was in the circle. I am so grateful that Mike was able to bless our daughter and I am grateful to know that her Heavenly Father loves her.

So tomorrow July 20th 2010 I will have a baby via c-section. I am nervous and super excited. Wish me luck!
Well this year Mike finally didn't have to work so we were able to enjoy the 4th of July weekend to its fullest. We celebrated the 4th on the 3rd this year since the 4th was on a Sunday. We decided to head down to Idaho Falls with our favorite people and watch the fireworks there. We heard they had an amazing show and they did not disappoint. There was never a lag in the fireworks and they just kept going and going. They were really good! We were there a good amount of time before the show started so we walked around and took in the atmosphere and went by all the street fair shops they had set up. It was perfect weather I thought. We all drove in one car since we didn't want to have to deal with traffic and so that meant that we had on less seat so Mike volunteered to sit in the very back. He said it was comfortable and even fell asleep but looking at him it didn't seem very enjoyable. We had so much fun and we are grateful that we could go with Emily, Shelly, Chase and Chase's family. It will be interesting to see what state we watch the firework show next year.

Well on the 30th of June Mike and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. 4 year seems like a long time to me but I am hoping we have 70 more years to do this. I don't want to get to mushy but since it is our anniversary and I do have an amazing husband I am going to be a bit mushy. I am so lucky to be married to my best friend. When we were married I could have never imagined how great this marriage would be. Mike tries everyday to make me happy and he succeeds. We had decided to not get presents for this anniversary since we are poor college students, but of course Mike came home with beautiful lilies and some starbursts since the 4 year anniversary is flowers and fruit. Mike is a great father and always knows how to make me happy. I am incredibly lucky and I hope that I can be as good of a wife as he is a husband. I can't wait for the rest of our lives.
Well since I am a major dork and like going to midnight showing of things, I thought what better movie than Eclipse to see with a bunch of friends? Well first we of course had to have our Twilight party. We got together at my apartment to make shirts for the movie and to watch both movies. We all brought a food that had to do with the books. It was a lot of fun and we got a few shirts done:)

Then on June 29th we went to the party before the movie started and just did a lot of dorky stuff that had to do with Twilight. We got our faces painted our hair done and did some trivia. it was actually a lot of fun and we because we went to the party before hand we didn't have to wait in line to get good seats. We had about 10 in our group and we were able to get them all sitting together. The movie was good and the company was better! I'm glad we got to all do that and bring out our dorky sides.
