Pumpkin Carving and Trunk or Treat

Well for Family Home Evening on Monday we carved pumpkins wit.h Chase, Shelly, and Cami! It was a lot of fun! We each had a design and we got to work! I didn't get a picture of all of ours together but I did take a picture of the three of ours.

Then on Halloween our apatment complex did Trunk or Treat in the parking lot. They had Chili and dessert that we all ate and then we went walking around to all the trunks and we got so much candy. Ethan loved the dum dum suckers and after awhile he couldn't hold up the bucket anymore. It was a lot of fun and it was fun to see all the cute Halloween costumes! Ethan was a lion, Mike was H1 and I was N1! Happy Halloween to everyone

Pumpkins

Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch with our good friends Chase and Shelly in Idaho Falls. We first went to a pumpkin patch that wasn't really a pumpkin patch, They had taken all the pumpkins out of the patch and just had them laying on the grass. So it was like going to Walmart or something and just picking them out. So we decided to leave and try a different pumpkin patch but first we tried and get some good pictures of Ethan. I guess we got some good action pictures. When we got to the other pumpkin patch we were very happy. The pumpkins were still on the ground where they grew. We picked out 3 and headed out. It was a lot of fun and are excited to make this a tradition. Ethan loved to try and pick up the pumpkins and the ones he could actually pick up he would throw, luckily none of them broke. He also loved pushing the wagons that we put our pumpkins into.

Camping

This past weekend we had the opportunity to go camping with our good friends Chase and Shelly! We were afraid it was going to be too cold and we would freeze to death, but it was nice and not too cold. Granted we had a trailer but we did sit by the fire and roughed it a little bit. This was Ethan's first time camping and he loved it. He loved finding sticks and rocks and playing with them. Mike made some delicious cobbler in the dutch oven and in the morning he made biscuits and gravy! Thanks Chase and Shelly for going with us and letting us use the trailer! It was so much fun!

SICK....

So the day after we arrived in Idaho Ethan woke up and was sick. He didn't want to move and just laid in bed with us all day. We decided to take him to the doctor and we found out he had a double ear infection, which is what we figured since it's his third in 6 months. We made a follow up appointment and got him his medicine. His medicine seemed to help but yesterday was his last dose and he was irritable all day and then all night he was awake. I knew something wasn't right so I decided to make another appointment for him this morning. We went to the doctor to find out that his ears were all better but something was up with his breathing. The doctor thinks that perhaps it's just his lungs are irratated by the dust or the change in the weather but there is also a chance that he has asthma. So we got another perscription. This time we got a peice of equipment along with medication. We are now the proud owners of a nebulizer. We have to give him treatments every 4 hours and he hates it. Hopefully we will only have to do it for the weekend and then he will be all better, cross our fingers. I guess this Idaho air is not good for him, he has been sick since we've gotten here, poor guy:( At least it looks like a cute penguin

It's time for an update...

Well It has been way to long since I last updated and I don't know where to start now. We are now back in Rexburg and I have mixed emotions about it. I am glad to be at school and getting closer to being done but I am sad about being away from family and I know this will be another challenge for me. Ethan has grown so much. He is walking and is almost running, he can say a few words and his favorite is definitely Hi. He loves to say that to everyone. I am going to post some pictures of our summer and then I will be better at keeping up to date and tracking the progress of Ethan's growth.

Blogging

I won't be able to blog very much this summer because we don't have Internet so don't be expecting to hear anything anytime soon. Hopefully I will be back in fall.

FLORIDA

Well in between school and moving to Wisconsin for the summer we were able to go to Florida for the week. We stayed with my parents in their timeshare in Pompano Beach. It is right on the beach so all you have to do is get ready and walk out. We have stayed at this hotel many times and we love it. We mostly hung out at the beach and pool. My mom and I went on a river boat and then the last night we took a tour of haunted Fort Lauderdale, it was interesting to say the least.


At first Ethan didn't like the sand but grandma got him used to it and he loved crawling in it and eating it. He especially loved the ocean, we had to keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't crawl out into it. Mike also learned to love the ocean and we can't wait to go back!!! Oh and I got stung by a bee for the first time...how dumb is that.
