Well I saw this on a friends blog and thought it was pretty cool. Most of the time when I am traveling I try to think of how many of the states I've been to. Now I have a for sure number. I need to go to the east which me and Mike want to do so bad and hopefully we will be going to the south real soon. Oh yeah and there is Hawaii. Hopefully someday

We had a woderful Thanksgiving. We flew out of Salt Lake on Saturday and arrived into Chicago later that evening. We had a little bit of a drive from each airport since we live in Rexburg and we were going to Wisconsin but a few hours driving is much better then 24 hours. Well for most of the week we hung out at my brothers house and played with the kids and played Wii. Ethan loved being with the other kids and loved being in a bigger house where he could explore. Thanksgiving day was fantastic we had a turkey bowl where unfortunately our team lost but it was a nice day and it was fun and then we were able to eat really good turkey dinner which my sister-in-law made. She's a great cook and always eat to much at her house. Then on Saturday we went to Chicago. I love going to the city and just enjoying the people and all the decorations that they put up. We finally arrived home Tuesday morning at 6 due to major delays with our plane. We are glad to be home but we wish we could have just stayed until Christmas but I guess school is important.

So pretty sure Ethan is a mutant or something, well not really maybe just a freak of nature. This kid is 7 months old and already has 6 teeth with one more on the way. From what I hear that is crazy. I am not to0 sure how much I enjoy all his new teeth only because his favorite thing is to bite and he sure does bite hard. I feel so bad because he is getting his two front teeth on the top and they look huge and like they hurt so bad. Poor guy but soon they will be out and he will have a mouth full of teeth.

So Mike and I decided since we can't go out at night and we really have nothing else to do at home but watch TV, to do a puzzle. We got a Thomas Kinkade puzzle which is just really a landscape puzzle and it turned out a lot harder then we thought because all the colors are kind of fuzzy and run together. We have had so much fun though. We spend hours on it not even knowing we do. We have worked on it for three days and here is our progress.

As you can see we have gotten a lot done since the first day. I'm pretty sure the first day is what took us the longest too. I think though it was finding all the border pieces and flipping them all over. We'll see how long it takes us to get the whole thing done!

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to go to the General Relief Society Broadcast. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that there are women everywhere who are listening to the same thing. I really enjoyed the talk given by President Uchtdorf. He talked about how all women feel inadequate and we have no reason to. We are daughters of our Heavenly Father and we have such divine qualities. I really appreciate his words because I felt like he was talking to just me as I'm sure a lot of women out there felt. We all have trials and they are all different but are all significant to each of us. I am grateful that we have the Savior who knows all our fears and trials and is there for us and here to comfort us. I am so excited for General Conference and to hear from the Prophet!
So it is officially fall and it sure feels like it here in good ole Rexburg. I am hoping that it warms up just a bit for a few more weeks. I am not ready for winter. Yesterday we went for a walk and we had to make sure Ethan was bundled up nice and warm so that he wouldn't be too cold. I just thought he looked so cute. We are defineitly going to have to get him winter stuff becuase the winter stuff we thought would fit most certainly does not. He doesn't fit into 12 months, he is too big. I am so glad he is I love his chubby cheeks. We are loving being back in Rexburg.
August 29th was one of the best times I've had in a long time, we went to the Chicago Cubs game. We drove down to Wisconsin the day before and stayed with my brother Mike and we met Mike there, he drove from DC on his way home to Idaho. I hadn't seen him in a month and it was so good to see him. The next day the fun began, it was a day game so we headed down early and rode the el train. and then we got to Wrigley, I had been there a lot when I was real little and even met Harry Carey, I just don't remember any of it. We were at the second row from the top but it was still awesome seats and just great to be there. Ethan was really good and it was a really exciting game. The Cubs won and it was great. After the game we walked down to the seats that are really close to the field. It was so neat to see the Ivy so close and we tried to find the infamous Steve Bartman seat. We were told that they had remodeled it since that day and it no longer existed but we went to where about it would be. One day I hope to sit so close but it is so expensive, it's like 250 just to get close. Hopefully one day.
So for the whole month of August I was able to spend in Minnesota with my family. I went for a little reunion and stayed becuase tickets are so expensive to fly back and forth so I stayed. It worked out really well since it was getting really hard in DC not ever being able to see Mike and with a little guy like Ethan it was hard to get out and do anything fun. We mostly just hung out and visited the mall and the lake and played Wii. I got to hang out with my best friend before she left for her mission to Australia and got to play lots of volleyball. I had so much fun and am so grateful for my parents for letting me stay and all the help they gave me. While there Ethan grew so much, he can sit up now and has two teeth!! I didn't take many pictures since we didn't do much but I will post some of the ones I have.
On July 31st Ethan and I flew to Minnesota to meet up with me family for a mini reunion. It was so much fun. All but one of my sisters was there. We all were at my moms house which was crazy and very full. It was so fun to see all my nieces and nephews and that they got a chance to meet Ethan. They always did crafts and had great dinners thanks to my sister-in-law Lara. Some the activities for the kids were making their own play-doh and special fun dinner where you picked numbers and that's all you got to eat at the time, so you might be stuck with just butter and noodles. we even had a talent show. I am so grateful that I was able to come and now I am going to stay here until we head back to Idaho so that I don't have to pay for two extra tickets. I really miss Mike but it's nice to know that I can be with my family and see him soon.
So Ethan rolled over from his back to his tummy today!!! He's been so close for awhile and now I guess he has it down. It's kind of funny because I got him out of bed and laid him on his back and I told him that he needed to roll over today and that it wasn't a request it was a demand:) Well I started to fold some clothes and when I looked back at him a few minutes later he was on his belly! So I put him on his back again and he did it again!! It was very exciting. It seems like such a task for him, he has to put all his strength into it. I posted a video of him doing it. I know, I'm such a first time mom.
So people have been asking for me to post a picture of our new car...Emily. So I decided to oblige and post some pictures for her. We absolutely love it and I am so grateful for Mike to be willing to get it for our family. It is definetly going to be a good car for our growing family.
I LOVE the zoo and the one in DC was great. Mike and I went on Sunday and it was pretty hot but it was fun to walk around and see all the animals. Ethan of course didn't care about what was going on but Mike and I had lots of fun and liked to look at the animals. We took lots of pictures and we were really glad that we took time to go.

Yesterday June 30th was our 2 year anniversary. I can't believe we've made it to two years. Just kidding:) These past two years have been the best in my life. I have gained a best friend who will always be there for me, who I can be myself with and just have fun. I am so grateful to Mike for all he has done for me and our family. I never dreamed I would get someone exactly like what I always dreamed. We celebrated by going to Cheesecake Factory since we went there on our honeymoon. The food was great and the cheesecake was even better. Thanks to Courtney for watching Ethan for us so that we could have a stress free date. I can't wait to celebrate many more years and to make many more memories.
