In the last week Ethan has been pulling himself up onto things so that he stands. He first did it on the stairs and then the next day he did on the couch. He was so proud of himself and now he does it all the time. I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before he is walking and getting into everything.
This semester Mike had 3 1/2 weeks off of school, Which I was so excited about, I couldn't wait to see my family and get out of Rexburg for a little while. Don't get me wrong I like Rexburg but every once and awhile you need a little break. Our first stop on the tour was Littleton CO. We went and visited his parents there and had a Christmas dinner with his family. We had so much fun just hanging out and visiting with everyone. The day before we left we exchanged gifts. Ethan got spoiled of course and so did we, they got a Wii for us!
The next stop was Castle Rock, CO where my sister and her family lives. She took our family pictures and did an awesome job doing so. She took over 400 pictures and we could have taken more if her memory card didn't run out. We played Rockband and hung out all day.
Next we drove the 12 long hours to Eagan,MN to visit my family. The first thing on our list was to open and early Christmas present, Guitar Hero World Tour for Wii. My brother couldn't wait until Christmas for us to open it. We started playing immediately.
We then saw Santa at the mall and Ethan was wondering who the heck was this weird guy. He wouldn't take his eyes off of him.
We opened presents, which Ethan didn't get at all but he had fun playing with the toy inside the wrapping.
We had my birthday, which was so fun. Mike took me out to PF Changs that night for dinner while my mom watched Ethan. I love PF Changs and it was a nice break. Then we got home and had Wacky Cake which is my favorite and then my family (except for my dad and Ethan)went to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was long and a little weird at times but I really enjoyed it and recommend it to everyone.
And we ate good food. Ethan had his first taste of Lasagna and absolutely loved it. He couldn't get enough.
We had so much fun and we are glad that we got to visit everyone. Ethan got spoiled of course and loved the attention that everyone gave him. He is excited though to be back in his own crib. Mike is back to school and working hard on his grades and I am back to being supportive and trying not to freeze.
