I'm a bit late on this post but I just found my camera. Grandma came for Halloween and we absolutely loved having her. We did a trunk or treat on Saturday and then on Monday we went door to door for the first time with Ethan. He was a trooper and even Brooklyn knocked a few doors. Ethan was originally going to be a pirate and then freaked out when we got the costume out. Luckily grandma brought some costumes from home. Enjoy.
Yes that's right I am talking about Disney World. A few weeks ago we were able to take a family vacation to Orlando. We met up with Grandma and Grandpa and had a great week of fun in the sun. I'm not much for writing so I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
There is this awesome petting zoo here in Kingsport that we like to frequent. Ethan is a bit timid around the animals but he loves going none the less. Our friends in the ward actually own the petting zoo and had a party for their little girl there the other day. Here are the pictures
Yes I know it's been awhile and yes I have a lot to update on but I am not going to. We did a lot of things since I last blogged and I just don't want to play catch up. We went to Wisconsin Dells, had a lot of fun with family, visited Grandma and Grandpa. And Brooklyn turned 1!! Well I will be better at blogging, but I thought I would just let everyone know I am back and ready to blog. And for those of you who only read this to see pictures, here are 2
Yes we did have a wonderful Fourth of July and yes that should be the next post but I have so many pictures from the 4th that I don't even want to think about them right now. So instead I will treat you will some pictures of our adventures at the splash pad in Kingsport. We first went on Friday with friends from the ward and then the next day with Mike. Ethan loved getting wet and surprisingly didn't mind all the water getting dumped on his head. Brooklyn loved putting her hand in the fountain that would spray up and walking around holding my hand. The best part...It's FREE!
There are times when Ethan doesn't want Brooklyn around him and screams when she comes near his toys, but for the most part he loves being around her. He is the best big brother in the world. He always tries to find toys for her to play with and whenever she is crying he will sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to her. He encourages her to walk and loves to make her laugh. My favorite thing about these two is when they are in the car they just play and talk with each other. The other day we went to the Sonic and we got him an order of tater tots. After a few minutes we said be sure to give Brooklyn one...His response was, I already did!!! I love that, I love that he shares with her without us even asking. He sure does love his little sister and she loves him. The other day while we were driving in the car I turn around to find this...
I have been bad at doing this but we have been doing fun things so I will just jump right into it! Last week we were able to go to the pool with our friends. We had a blast and we love the pool because it has 3 levels of pools. Ethan loves the kiddie pool because he can just run and splash around and play! Brooklyn just loves hanging out in the pool and having me hold her!!!
Yesterday we enjoyed a little time at the park. It was quite hot and unfortunately an hour after we got to the park it started thundering and it was loud. We hopped in the car and headed home, just in time for it to start to dump on us! Then later that night since dad is out of town we watched a movie in bed!
A few Saturdays ago we went to a park in our town called Bays Mountain. It is absolutely beautiful and it has a little zoo around the grounds. It was fun to go see the animals. We even saw an owl up close and personal!!
May 13 we headed to Crossville for a weekend alone and then my family came down for the weekend and to hang out and to get a tan. Well the tan part didn't work since it was raining and in the high 40s all week, which is crazy since the week before it was 80 and the week after it was 80. Boo. It was still a lot of fun and Ethan loved hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Jeff. We went to the indoor pool, played games, visited a waterfall, played with grandpa by the lake and hung out all day. It was a lot of fun and I am so glad we got to go.
So It has been awhile since I have posted and I'm not sure what that says about me. Am I really boring or really busy. I think it's a little bit of both. My new goal is to do something everyday that is blog worthy. Okay so lets face it sometimes they may not be interesting to you but I am going to blog about them anyways. That is my goal to do more and since it's summer hopefully they will be interesting to all my viewers, all 2 of you:) So I am going to update my blog with the things I have done in the last month and then hopefully I will have interesting things to talk about for here on out.
Recently we took a trip to Wisconsin to visit family. We had so much fun. We really wish we could live by family but for now visits will have to do.
I love Sunday. I love that we all get dressed up and look put together. I love that we can go to church and learn more of our Savior. I love that we can hang out together as a family and not worry about errands and what we're going to do. I love taking pictures with my kids.
