Ethan rolled over!

So Ethan rolled over from his back to his tummy today!!! He's been so close for awhile and now I guess he has it down. It's kind of funny because I got him out of bed and laid him on his back and I told him that he needed to roll over today and that it wasn't a request it was a demand:) Well I started to fold some clothes and when I looked back at him a few minutes later he was on his belly! So I put him on his back again and he did it again!! It was very exciting. It seems like such a task for him, he has to put all his strength into it. I posted a video of him doing it. I know, I'm such a first time mom.

Nissan Rogue

So people have been asking for me to post a picture of our new car...Emily. So I decided to oblige and post some pictures for her. We absolutely love it and I am so grateful for Mike to be willing to get it for our family. It is definetly going to be a good car for our growing family.

The Zoo

I LOVE the zoo and the one in DC was great. Mike and I went on Sunday and it was pretty hot but it was fun to walk around and see all the animals. Ethan of course didn't care about what was going on but Mike and I had lots of fun and liked to look at the animals. We took lots of pictures and we were really glad that we took time to go.

My Masterpiece

OK so this isn't much of a masterpiece but I was proud of it. Since we didn't do any sort of barbecue or anything for the Fourth I made this a few days later for just me and Mike. It tasted really good and it actually did have 13 stripes but I couldn't fit 50 blueberries but I got close.

4th of July

So I love Holiday's they are my favorite thing in the world and I love all the traditions that go along with the holiday's. This fourth of July we were lucky enough to be close to DC and Mike was lucky enough that his office got off early enough for us to make it out to the monuments to see the firework show. I was a little skeptical at first because I thought it would be to hectic for it to be worth it, but Mike reminded me that we probably won't be in DC again for fireworks and that this was a once in a lifetime chance, so I sucked it up and went. It ended up not being a hassle at all. We rode the metro to Downtown which was nice and then we walked to an area right in front and just to the left of the Washington Monument. It was a great view. Ethan just woke up before the show started so I sat him on my lap so he could watch. The show started and it was amazing. There never was one break it was just constant firework action. Ethan, to my surprise, just stared intently at the show, he didn't cry at the loud booms, he just watched and watched. The finale was the most amazing that I have ever seen. There were so many fireworks in the sky at a time and it was just a constant boom boom boom. I absolutely loved it. I hope that I can take my kids here one day. It was nice to spend a night with Mike and the ride home was a lot more pleasant then I imagined. All in all it was a great fourth of July.

2 years

Yesterday June 30th was our 2 year anniversary. I can't believe we've made it to two years. Just kidding:) These past two years have been the best in my life. I have gained a best friend who will always be there for me, who I can be myself with and just have fun. I am so grateful to Mike for all he has done for me and our family. I never dreamed I would get someone exactly like what I always dreamed. We celebrated by going to Cheesecake Factory since we went there on our honeymoon. The food was great and the cheesecake was even better. Thanks to Courtney for watching Ethan for us so that we could have a stress free date. I can't wait to celebrate many more years and to make many more memories.
